Your First 3 Steps

  1. Orientation Read
    Skim the Incident Basics and Roles Guide. This gives you the vocabulary.

  2. Shadow a Drill
    Join a scheduled exercise. Watch how roles are assigned, how comms cadence is kept, and how the team leans on structure instead of stress.

  3. Step Into the Hotseat
    Run a scenario as Incident Commander, Comms, or Ops. You’ll learn faster by making mistakes in training than by guessing in production.
